August 25, 2025 – The Pakistan Army continues to play a central role in flood relief efforts across the country, focusing on the hardest-hit regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B), and Punjab. The operations are being carried out in close coordination with the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) and civil administrations.

Key Areas of Operation

  • Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B):

    • Rescue: Army Aviation helicopters evacuated stranded residents from cut-off villages, including Roshan Nama.
    • Medical Aid: Military doctors set up medical camps in Thali Das and Roshan Nama, treating hundreds of people.
    • Relief Supplies: Tents, ration packs, and other essentials were distributed to displaced families.
  • Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P):

    • Evacuation: Troops rescued residents from remote flood-hit villages, including Rajsham in Shangla.
    • Infrastructure: The Corps of Engineers cleared debris, repaired bridges, and reopened key roads, such as the Qadir Nagar–Bhittai Dara route in Buner.
    • Relief Distribution: Rations and aid supplies reached victims in multiple districts, including Swat and Buner.
  • Punjab:

    • Along the Sutlej River, Army teams worked with local authorities to evacuate people from low-lying areas after water releases from India.
    • Relief operations are ongoing to provide immediate assistance to the displaced.
