TIANJIN/BEIJING, August 31, 2025 — Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is on a six-day official visit to China to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Council of Heads of State Summit, being held in Tianjin from August 31 to September 1, 2025. The visit reflects Pakistan’s continued emphasis on strengthening its role in regional cooperation and deepening its strategic partnership with China.

High-Level Delegation
- The Prime Minister is accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal, and Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar.
- The delegation is tasked with advancing CPEC-II, promoting trade and investment, and reinforcing Pakistan’s role in multilateral platforms.
