Matloob Ahmed’s Dominant Display
The final day at Karachi Golf Club started with high expectations for a tight contest. Matloob quickly set the tone, birdieing the first and third holes to build momentum. His closest chasers, Shabbir Iqbal and Mohammad Zubair, struggled to match pace — Shabbir bogeyed the 10th after falling three behind by the turn.
A stunning stretch of five birdies from the 12th hole effectively ended any challenge. Matloob stayed bogey-free until the last hole, where a minor slip didn’t matter. Meanwhile, Minhaj Maqsood Warraich made a strong move from fourth place to secure second.
Defending champion Ahmed Baig matched Matloob’s score in the closing rounds but couldn’t overcome earlier deficits.
