ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Army has won a gold medal at the internationally renowned Exercise Cambrian Patrol 2025, held in Wales, United Kingdom from October 3 to 13, according to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Monday.
Often referred to as the world’s toughest patrolling test, the Cambrian Patrol challenges participating military teams to navigate 60 kilometers of rugged terrain in under 48 hours, while performing complex tactical tasks under combat-like conditions.
“This year, 137 teams from 36 countries took part in the event. Among them, the Pakistan Army team, led by Captain Muhammad Saad, demonstrated exceptional performance and was awarded the gold medal,” ISPR stated.
The military’s media wing described the achievement as “a proud moment for the whole nation,” underscoring the Pakistan Army’s reputation for “professionalism and highest standards of training.”

Exercise Cambrian Patrol is organized annually by the British Army and is regarded as a premier military leadership and endurance test. Participants are graded on planning, teamwork, endurance, leadership, and tactical skills.

“The Pakistan Army has always held the country’s flag high and will continue to strive for excellence in the future as well,” ISPR added.
