Muzaffarabad: November 19, 2025 – One day after assuming office, Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Raja Faisal Mumtaz Rathore completed the formation of his cabinet as 18 legislators, mostly from the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), took oath as ministers on Wednesday.
The swearing-in ceremony was held at Aiwan-i-Sadr and administered by AJK Legislative Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Latif Akbar, who performed duties in place of ailing President Barrister Sultan Mahmood.

Among the new ministers are eight who originally won on PPP tickets in 2021, while ten others – previously elected on PTI tickets – recently switched allegiance to the PPP.
The ministers include Mian Abdul Waheed, Sardar Javed Ayoub, Chaudhry Qasim Majeed, Nabila Ayub Khan (the only female minister on a reserved seat), Deevan Ali Khan Chughtai, Syed Bazil Ali Naqvi, and others. Portfolios are expected to be announced soon.
Simultaneously, two advisers – Sardar Ahmad Saghir and Sardar Fahad Yaqoob – were also appointed and took an oath from the prime minister himself.
