The US-Israel-Iran war reached a new peak of intensity on Saturday, March 7, as the Israeli military launched a fresh “large-scale” offensive against the Iranian capital, Tehran. Simultaneously, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) initiated the twenty-third wave of Operation Promised Sadiq 4, firing a massive volley of missiles and drones toward the heart of Tel Aviv.
IDF Targets Western Tehran; Explosions Rock the Capital
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed today that its fighter jets and long-range drones have struck dozens of military targets across the Iranian capital. Iran’s State Broadcaster reported multiple high-decibel explosions in the western part of Tehran, localized near critical defense infrastructure and communication hubs.
Israeli military spokespersons stated that the current wave is designed to dismantle Iran’s remaining air defense batteries and command-and-control centers. The precision strikes followed intelligence reports of a massive mobilization of Iranian ground forces for a “long war.”
IRGC Initiates 23rd Wave of ‘Operation Promised Sadiq 4’
In a defiant counter-response, the IRGC announced the commencement of the 23rd wave of its retaliatory campaign against “occupied Palestine.” Several explosions were heard in Tel Aviv’s commercial center as Iranian ballistic missiles penetrated the city’s multi-layered defense shield.
Iranian officials have warned that the armed forces are prepared for a prolonged conflict. They stated that if the situation continues to escalate, they will introduce “modern, undisclosed weapons” into the battlefield. This follows the previously reported use of Khyber-Khattab cluster munitions earlier this week.
Iranian Navy Targets USS Abraham Lincoln with Shore-to-Sea Missiles
In a separate maritime operation, the Iranian Navy claimed to have launched a sophisticated shore-to-sea missile at the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier. While the IRGC claims the strike was a direct attempt to neutralize the carrier strike group in the Gulf, US CENTCOM has categorized the incident as a “failed provocation.”
