LAHORE, October 17, 2025: A local sessions court on Thursday granted post-arrest bail to PTI activist Falak Javed in two separate cases involving the alleged misuse of social media against state institutions and a woman provincial minister.
The bail petitions were approved by Additional District & Sessions Judge Dr. Sajida Chaudhry, who ordered the release of the activist against surety bonds of Rs100,000 in each case—provided she is not required in any other case.

These cases were registered by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), which had arrested Falak Javed from Islamabad. On October 10, she was sent on judicial remand by a magistrate following her detention.
Despite being granted bail, Falak Javed is not expected to be released immediately, as she is currently on physical remand with the Racecourse police in a separate case related to alleged attacks on an Islamabad police team outside the Zaman Park residence of former Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Sources confirmed that investigations in the Zaman Park case are ongoing and authorities are expected to seek further remand for questioning.
Falak’s sister, Sanam Javed, also a PTI activist, was recently arrested in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and transferred to Kot Lakhpat Jail, Lahore, where she is serving a sentence in connection with the May 9 riots.
The legal developments surrounding the Javed sisters come amid broader crackdowns on political activists linked to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), particularly in cases tied to social media content and protest-related violence.
The NCCIA and Punjab Police have yet to issue official comments regarding the timeline for further proceedings in Falak Javed’s remaining cases.
