PTI Rejects Malicious Jail Medical Exam; Sit-In Enters Day 4

On Sunday, February 15, 2026, a five-member medical team conducted a 60-minute eye examination of Imran Khan at Adiala Jail. While the government claims the examination fulfilled the Supreme Court’s mandate, the PTI has categorically rejected the process, calling it a “malicious” attempt to bypass the family’s legal rights.

The PTI’s Rejection: Three Core Objections

1. Exclusion of Family: The party argues that the right to make medical decisions belongs to the family, who were not present during the test.

2. No Personal Doctors: Despite the Supreme Court’s order, Khan’s personal physicians (Dr. Faisal Sultan and Dr. Asim Yusuf) were not part of the physical examination, though they were later briefed via conference call.

3. Symbolic Invitation: The PTI described the government’s invitation to party leadership as a “crude attempt to divert attention” from the lack of specialist care.

Tensions at Parliament House

The Tehreek-i-Tahafuz-i-Ayin-i-Pakistan (TTAP) alliance has intensified its protest, claiming “fascist” tactics are being used against them.
