The “Marka-i-Haq” conflict, which occurred in May 2025, remains one of the most significant military escalations between Pakistan and India in recent history. The confrontation featured intense aerial engagements, missile strikes, and artillery exchanges along the Line of Control. By institutionalizing this narrative, the provincial government aims to provide “ideological guidance” to students and counter external propaganda. Minister Bokhari emphasized that private schools would be required to participate in national unity programs with the same fervor as public institutions to ensure a synchronized national spirit.
The meeting also addressed broader security concerns, specifically regarding digital space and sectarian harmony. In preparation for the upcoming month of Muharram, a joint monitoring cell between the Information and Home departments will be launched to track and prosecute individuals spreading provocative content on social media. Minister Bokhari warned that no form of hate speech would be tolerated, and the cell would act as a primary source for fact-checking to prevent the spread of rumors during the sensitive religious period.
