Iran Claims MQ-9 Intercept Near Isfahan, 146th Drone Down

Early on Tuesday morning, March 31, 2026, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced the successful interception and destruction of a U.S. MQ-9 Reaper drone in the central province of Isfahan. Iranian officials, via the semi-official Tasnim News Agency, stated that this marks the 146th drone shot down by Iranian air defenses since the start of the conflict on February 28.

• Drone Losses: While Iran claims 146 downed drones, independent analysts suggest the U.S. and Israel have lost roughly 30 to 40 high-value UAVs, with the rest of the tally likely including smaller tactical drones and decoys.
