KARACHI, Oct 31: Renowned actress Saba Qamar has revealed that she recently suffered a heart attack, which she attributed to mental stress and excessive workload. The actor underwent angiography and was advised by doctors to take a month-long rest following the incident.
In a recent interview, Saba Qamar shared that she fell ill during a shoot and was immediately taken to a hospital, where doctors confirmed she had experienced a heart attack.
“The next day, I underwent angiography, and doctors instructed me to rest for at least a month,” she said.
The Baaghi and Kamli star highlighted the link between emotional well-being and physical health, saying that heart attacks are not always caused by high cholesterol or poor diet.

“We often think we can handle everything, but mental stress takes a toll on our bodies. Excessive physical exertion and psychological pressure can also lead to heart problems,” she remarked.
Saba Qamar urged her fans to take mental health seriously, warning that ignoring emotional stress can result in severe health complications.

The actress was reportedly hospitalised on August 1 after her condition worsened during filming. Images of her from the hospital later circulated on social media, prompting concern from fans and colleagues.
Saba, who is one of Pakistan’s most acclaimed television and film performers, said she is now recovering and intends to resume work after completing her period of medical rest.
