Pakistani superstar Saba Qamar has never been one to shy away from the spotlight, but her latest revelation has sent a different kind of shiver down the spines of her fans. During a recent television appearance in late February, the actress shared a bone-chilling incident involving a supernatural encounter during the filming of her hit mystery thriller, Muamma.

An Unseen Assailant

According to Qamar, the incident occurred while the crew was filming at a particularly eerie location. Her makeup artist had briefly stepped away from the main set to perform wuzu (ablution) for prayers. While he was alone, he was suddenly struck by a powerful, unexplained slap from behind.

The actress noted that while the victim didn’t see a human figure when he spun around, he claimed to have “seen something” that defied logical explanation. “There was something, but there wasn’t anything,” Qamar remarked, describing the heavy, unsettling atmosphere that gripped the entire production team following the event.

“No Bigger Devil Than Humans”

The paranormal encounter reportedly left the cast and crew so shaken that there were urgent discussions about moving the shoot to a different location. However, with nearly 60% of the project already completed, Qamar, ever the professional, refused to back down.

In her trademark candid style, she told the host that she wasn’t easily frightened by the supernatural. “The amount of effort I’d put in, I told them, ‘I don’t care if it’s Manjulika or Tanjulika, I will make sure we complete this shoot,” she stated, referencing the famous vengeful spirit from the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise. She punctuated the story with a grounded observation: “There is no bigger devil than humans.”

A Production Haunted by Mystery

The story has added a layer of meta-intrigue to Muamma, which itself explores themes of the paranormal and the psychological. While some fans are debating whether the “slap” was a ghost or a prank, the incident has certainly boosted the show’s profile as one of the most talked-about dramas of the season.

As the production wrapped in late February, the cast might have left the location behind, but the legend of the “on-set jinn” continues to haunt the headlines.
