Government Authorizes 06-Month Army Deployment in Rawalpindi

On Saturday, details emerged that the federal government has given a go-ahead to deploy three companies of the Pakistan Army in Rawalpindi for six months. The order from the interior ministry, dated August 21, says the deployment is for “sensitive security duties”.
