Incident at DXB: Fire and Containment
The drone strike occurred in the early morning hours, hitting a fuel storage facility near the airfield.
- Firefighting Efforts: Dubai Civil Defence teams successfully contained the blaze within hours. Social media videos showed thick black smoke billowing near the terminals.

Saudi Arabia: 61 Drones Intercepted
While Dubai dealt with the airport strike, Saudi Arabia’s air defenses were pushed to their limits.
- Eastern Province: The Saudi Ministry of Defense confirmed intercepting 34 drones within a single hour over the Eastern Province, home to key Aramco oil facilities.
- Riyadh Targeted: Three drones were also shot down over the capital, Riyadh.
- Tally: A total of 61 drones were neutralized by Saudi forces since midnight, marking one of the largest single-night aerial barrages of the war.
Regional Security Context
Tehran has intensified its “retaliation” against Gulf states, accusing them of allowing the U.S. and Israel to use local “ports and hideouts” for strikes on Kharg Island.
- Threat to Ports: Iran has officially warned of upcoming strikes on three major UAE ports, signaling a shift from military to economic infrastructure targets.
- Casualties in Abu Dhabi: In a separate incident today, a missile hit a civilian car in the Al Bahia area of Abu Dhabi, resulting in the death of one Palestinian civilian.
- Legal Action: UAE authorities have arrested 19 Indian nationals for allegedly posting “misleading” videos of the attacks on social media, which officials claim were intended to “provoke public disorder.”
