Upon arrival at Doha Airport, Shehbaz was received by Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al Thani.
Shehbaz was accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi.
According to the Foreign Office, the prime minister will meet Sheikh Tamim to convey Pakistan’s sympathies and support, reaffirming Islamabad’s commitment to Qatar’s security and sovereignty.
The visit will also feature consultations on Israel’s military escalation across the region, its recent strikes in Qatar, and joint efforts to promote regional peace and stability.
“Pakistan stands firmly with Qatar in this difficult hour,” the statement read, underscoring the two nations’ longstanding diplomatic ties rooted in shared faith and values.
Earlier this month, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Gen. Sahir Shamshad Mirza reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to regional stability during meetings with Qatar’s military leadership in Doha.
