A seven-page report submitted to the Supreme Court on February 11, 2026, by Advocate Salman Safdar (serving as amicus curiae), provides a detailed breakdown of Imran Khan’s living conditions in Adiala Jail.
While the report confirms access to certain “B-class” privileges, it also highlights significant health concerns and environmental challenges.
Two years ago, the will of the people was crushed in Pakistan. An election wasn’t just manipulated, it was stolen from PTI and from millions who voted for Imran Khan. You can silence voices, but you can’t erase truth. pic.twitter.com/O88sdv48ac

Living Quarters and Hygiene
- The Cell: Contains a bed (single mattress, four pillows, two blankets), a chair, two tables, a wall clock, and a clothes rack.
- Ammunition for the Mind: Approximately 100 books are kept in his room.
- Hygiene: A mushaqati (convicted laborer) assists with cleaning and laundry. Khan has access to a private toilet (4.5′ x 4.5′) with hot and cold water, though the report noted a lack of an exhaust system.
- Electronics: A 32-inch television is installed, but the report noted it was non-functional during the visit.
Diet and Daily Routine
Khan follows a strict schedule and a meal plan financed by his family:
- Breakfast (9:45 AM): Porridge, coffee, and dates.
- Holy Recitation: Quran recitation for one hour starting at 11:30 AM.
- Exercise: Uses an exercise bike, a bar, and two 9kg dumbbells.
- Lunch (3:30 PM): A rotating menu of chicken, meat, lentils, or snacks (chaat).
- Dinner: Light consumption of fruit, milk, and dates.
- Confinement: He remains locked in his cell from 5:30 PM until 10:00 AM the next morning.
Climate and Safety Challenges
- Summer Hardships: Without a refrigerator, Khan reported his “cool box” is ineffective in extreme heat, leading to food poisoning on 2–3 occasions. He also cited issues with mosquitoes and humidity.
- Winter: Provided with a small heater/blower and constant hot water.
- Security: Monitored by approximately 10 surveillance cameras in the compound. Notably, no camera is installed inside the cell itself, though one covers the shower area entrance.
Critical Health Status (February 2026)
The most alarming part of the report involves Khan’s eyesight. He claims to have lost 85% of his vision in his right eye due to a retinal blood clot, allegedly exacerbated by delayed medical attention between October 2025 and January 2026.
Next Step: On February 12, the Supreme Court ordered a specialized medical board to verify these claims and allowed Khan to speak with his sons by February 16.
