ISLAMABAD — Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Chinese Ambassador Jian Zedong held a meeting on Monday to discuss security ties and areas of mutual interest.
Both sides agreed to enhance cooperation in counter-terrorism and other security-related matters. During the meeting, Ambassador Jian condemned the recent suicide attack near the Islamabad district courts, expressing his condolences over the loss of human lives. He noted that China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs had also strongly condemned the incident.

Interior Minister Naqvi emphasized that Pakistan-China relations are grounded in mutual trust and respect, describing China as a reliable friend that has consistently supported Pakistan during challenging times.
The Chinese ambassador reaffirmed China’s commitment to continue providing full cooperation to Pakistan in maintaining security and countering terrorism.
