Federal Interior Minister Meets Prime Minister, Discusses Internal Security and Law and Order Situation

ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held an important meeting with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday to review the country’s internal security and law and order situation, Amm Awaam reported.

During the meeting, the Federal Interior Minister briefed the Prime Minister on nationwide security operations, the current law and order climate, ongoing counter-terrorism measures, and the progress of various internal security initiatives. The meeting comes amid heightened security challenges, particularly in border regions and major urban centres.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed satisfaction over the steps taken so far and commended the Interior Ministry and law enforcement agencies for their efforts in maintaining peace and order across the country.

“The protection of citizens’ lives and property, enforcement of the rule of law, and the complete eradication of terrorism remain the government’s highest priorities,” the Prime Minister stated.

He also instructed the Interior Minister to continue coordinated and proactive measures to ensure the safety of the public. Emphasizing the need for vigilance, the Prime Minister reiterated that any threats to peace would be dealt with firmly and lawfully.

The meeting also included discussions on enhancing cooperation among federal and provincial law enforcement bodies and modernizing the country’s counter-terrorism infrastructure.

The high-level engagement reflects the government’s intent to remain resolute in its fight against terrorism and to improve internal security mechanisms at all levels.
