Pakistan has officially launched its third Hangor-class submarine, named PNS/M Mangro, at a ceremony held in Wuhan, China.

The Project
The Mangro is part of the Hangor-class submarine program, one of the largest defense collaborations between Pakistan and China.
- Pakistan is acquiring eight submarines under the deal.
- Four are being built in China, while the other four will be constructed at Karachi Shipyard and Engineering Works (KS&EW) under a Transfer of Technology (ToT) program.
- The first two submarines were launched in 2024.
