PM Shehbaz, COAS Munir Pay Tribute to Martyrs in Bannu

BANNU, Sept 13 — Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Asim Munir visited Bannu on Saturday to honor the brave soldiers who embraced martyrdom in recent counter-terrorism operations. The visit highlighted a powerful message of unity, resilience, and national resolve against terrorism.

Funeral Prayers with Full Military Honors

The Prime Minister and COAS attended the funeral prayers of the martyrs. The ceremony was marked by full military honors as the nation bid farewell to its heroes.

PM Shehbaz expressed deep condolences to the bereaved families and paid rich tributes to the sacrifices of the soldiers.

“The martyrs’ blood will never go in vain. The entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with its armed forces,” he said, reaffirming Pakistan’s determination to fight militancy at all costs.

Army’s Resolve Against Terrorism

COAS Asim Munir, while addressing the ceremony, reiterated the army’s commitment to defeat terrorism.

“The Pakistan Army will continue its operations until this menace is eradicated completely. No force will be allowed to disturb the peace and stability of our homeland,” he stressed.

Visit to Injured Soldiers at CMH

Later, the Prime Minister and COAS visited the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) Bannu to inquire about the health of injured personnel. Both leaders praised their courage and resilience, recognizing their role in safeguarding Pakistan’s frontlines.

Unified Front Against Hostile Elements

The visit comes amid renewed anti-terror operations in KP, where security forces have foiled several plots by hostile elements.
