Islamabad, October 9, 2025 — Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan has dismissed rumors of a forward bloc in PTI, asserting that the PTI remains united in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) with its two-thirds majority fully intact.
Speaking to the media in Islamabad, Barrister Gohar confirmed that Ali Amin Gandapur would soon submit his resignation to the Governor of KP in accordance with party founder Imran Khan’s directives. “Whichever candidate is nominated for the Chief Minister post will be backed unanimously. There is no forward bloc in PTI, every MPA stands firm with Imran Khan,” he said.
“There is no forward bloc in the party. Ali Amin Gandapur wants to present his resignation to me. He should either submit his resignation to Khan Sahib or to the Governor,” said Barrister Gohar.#sohailafridi #AliAminGandapur #pti #ImranKhan pic.twitter.com/LmUUBU7TZM

Gohar emphasized that the resignation is part of a constitutional process and does not reflect any failure of leadership. “Ali Amin Gandapur served with full dedication. His resignation is not a punishment but a decision made at the discretion of Imran Khan,” he added.
He also reaffirmed PTI’s position on security, saying the party has consistently opposed terrorism in all forms and supports responsible handling of internal displacement issues, rejecting any political manipulation.
PTI Secretary General Salman Akram Raja had earlier confirmed Sohail Afridi as the new nominee for KP Chief Minister following allegations by Gandapur against Aleema Khan, which reportedly triggered the leadership change.
Barrister Gohar concluded, “The province will continue to be governed under Imran Khan’s vision, and the PTI remains firmly in control in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and there is no forward bloc in PTI.”
