Quetta – September 30, 2025 – At least 10 people lost their lives and 32 others were injured on Tuesday after a powerful blast struck Zarghoon Road in Quetta, confirmed Balochistan Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar.
- Injured victims have been shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta and the Trauma Centre, according to health authorities.
- The Balochistan Health Department immediately imposed a medical emergency across hospitals in the provincial capital.
- Health Secretary Mujeebur Rehman directed all consultants, doctors, pharmacists, nurses, and paramedics to remain on duty round the clock.
Emergency Measures
- Emergency declared at Civil Hospital Quetta, BMC Hospital, and Trauma Centre.
- Special directives issued to ensure availability of medicines, blood units, and surgical teams.
- Security forces have cordoned off the area, while rescue teams continue to shift casualties.
Quetta has witnessed repeated terrorist attacks in recent years, with Zarghoon Road — a busy commercial and government zone — often being a target. Authorities have yet to confirm the nature of the blast and investigations are underway.

Minister Kakar confirmed: “Thirty-two injured have been taken to the Civil Hospital and Trauma Centre.”
He added that hospital administrations are on high alert to deal with the emergency situation.
