FAISALABAD – August 15, 2025:
On August 14, two Ahmadi worship places in Faisalabad were attacked and vandalized by a mob. The incident also caused damage to nearby homes.
According to the FIRs, TLP ticket-holder Hafiz Rafaqat led the mob.

Police Response
Punjab Police acted promptly and registered two FIRs against those involved.
- Around 300 individuals have been booked so far.
- 47 suspects are named directly.
- 25 arrests have already been made.
- More arrests are expected as investigations continue.
Officials stressed that the law will give no concession to those found guilty of inciting or taking part in the violence.
The Incident
Reports confirm that:
- A crowd gathered outside two Ahmadi worship places.
- One site had its minarets torn down before being set on fire.
- Nearby Ahmadi homes were also attacked.
The violence took place on Independence Day, which coincided with the public holiday for the Urs of Data Ganj Bakhsh in Lahore.
Ongoing Action
Authorities say the crackdown is continuing, and cases will be pursued to their legal conclusion.
