Firm Diplomatic Position Reiterated

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) on Thursday reaffirmed that Pakistan does not recognise Israel, while expressing deep concern over the recent interception of the Global Sumud Flotilla — a humanitarian mission carrying international activists and aid.

“As Pakistan does not recognize Israel, we are working closely with international partners in the region to secure their immediate release and ensure their safety,” the MOFA spokesperson said.

The ministry underscored that the well-being of Pakistani citizens on board remains the government’s top priority.

International Coordination & Call to Action

Islamabad is coordinating with allied nations to secure the swift and safe return of its nationals. The Foreign Office also called on the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) to take action against Israel under Chapter VII of the UN Charter, which allows for measures to address threats to peace.

Pakistan strongly condemned Israel’s actions, describing the interception as a grave violation of international law and a direct attack on humanitarian efforts aimed at global solidarity.
