Grief and Anger Grip Medical Community

The tragic discovery has sent shockwaves through Abbottabad’s medical fraternity. Hospital staff, already on edge after four days of protests and boycott of duties, poured onto the streets, chanting slogans against what they called police lethargy in tracing the missing doctor.
Colleagues remembered Dr Warda as a dedicated young professional who had only recently started serving at the public hospital. Her sudden disappearance — and now confirmed death — has left families and co-workers shattered.
Police say the three arrested suspects are being questioned, and forensic evidence is being collected. The postmortem report is expected later tonight or tomorrow morning.

Governor Kundi, in a condolence message, assured the bereaved family and the doctors’ community that “no effort will be spared to bring the culprits to justice.” He directed the Abbottabad DPO to submit a detailed report at the earliest.
As night fell, a heavy silence hung over the hospital wards where Dr Warda once worked — a stark reminder of the vulnerability even healers sometimes face.
