Gold Hits Record High in Pakistan, Up Rs3,500 Per Tola

Karachi, Oct 1, 2025 — Gold prices in Pakistan surged to a new all-time high on Wednesday, following the global uptrend in bullion markets.

  • According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA):
    • Price of 24-karat gold rose by Rs3,500 per tola, reaching Rs410,278.
    • 10-gram gold was priced at Rs351,747, up by Rs3,001.
    • Silver also gained Rs50 per tola, reaching Rs4,826.
  • On Tuesday, gold had already closed at a record Rs406,778 per tola, marking a steep climb in just two days.
  • International market trends:
    • Spot gold touched an all-time high of $3,875.32 per ounce before stabilizing at $3,861.99.
    • US gold futures for December delivery rose 0.7% to $3,901.40.
    • The rally comes as investors turned to safe-haven assets amid the US government shutdown and expectations of Federal Reserve rate cuts following weak labour data.
  • Local jewellers noted that strong international demand and currency volatility continue to drive the surge in domestic gold prices.
