ISLAMABAD – October 12, 2025 — Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has hailed Pakistan’s armed forces for their firm and immediate response to what he called unprovoked aggression by Afghan forces across the Pak-Afghan border.

In a strongly worded statement, Naqvi said that firing on civilians is a grave violation of international law and Pakistan has every right to defend its territory and people. “Afghanistan will get the same answer that India did. No provocation will go unanswered,” he asserted.

The Interior Minister praised the professionalism of the Pakistan Army, saying the security forces were fully alert and gave a “stone for a brick” in retaliation. He assured that the public stands united with their military.

The retaliatory action by Pakistan reportedly led to the destruction of multiple Afghan posts and heavy casualties on the opposing side. Footage aired on state TV showed Afghan soldiers surrendering and installations on fire.

Naqvi emphasized that Pakistan has consistently urged Afghanistan to prevent its territory from being used by terrorist groups like the TTP and ISIS. He said that despite diplomatic outreach, Kabul failed to act.

The Interior Minister warned that any future aggression will be met with even stronger responses. “Our message is clear—don’t mistake our patience for weakness,” he said.
