Officials said the slain men were members of the Fitna al-Hindustan group and were detected through aerial reconnaissance. Weapons and ammunition were seized from their hideout. Authorities said the operation helped neutralize threats to both security forces and civilians in the area.
Separately, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) carried out an operation in Sibi following intelligence on the presence of members of a banned outfit. When CTD personnel surrounded a compound, the suspects opened fire, leading to a prolonged exchange that left five militants dead. Recovered materials included arms, ammunition, and documents allegedly detailing future attacks on law enforcement.
