On Friday, March 27, 2026, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi confirmed that Israeli and U.S. forces targeted several critical civilian and industrial facilities across Iran. These strikes occurred despite U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement of a 10-day extension of the “energy strike pause” until April 6.
Our mission is clear. Iran will never obtain a nuclear weapon. In my meeting with the G7 foreign ministers, I reiterated that we must meet this moment with maximum partner contributions.

Major Industrial and Energy Damage
The attacks focused on Iran’s heavy industry and power grid, causing significant disruption to the country’s economic backbone:
- Mobarakeh Steel Company (Isfahan): As one of the largest steel producers in the region, the facility suffered hits to its electrical substations and alloy steel production line. Governor Mehdi Jamalnejad confirmed that one worker was martyred and 15 others were injured during the afternoon strike.
- Khuzestan Steel Company (Ahvaz): Projectiles struck a large storage warehouse and production units. Viral footage on social media showed thick plumes of smoke rising from the plant, which is partially owned by the IRGC.
- Isfahan Power Plants: Two major power stations with capacities of 914 MW and 250 MW were reportedly destroyed, threatening widespread blackouts in central Iran.
Strikes on Nuclear Facilities
In a move that has drawn international condemnation, strikes were also confirmed at sites associated with Iran’s civilian nuclear program:
- Arak Heavy Water Plant: The Israeli military (IDF) confirmed striking the Khondab complex in Arak, describing it as a “key plutonium production site.”
- Yazd Uranium Plant: A uranium extraction and processing facility in Yazd was also targeted. The IDF labeled it a “unique facility” for producing raw materials for enrichment.
- Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant: The IAEA confirmed that a projectile struck the premises of the Bushehr plant late on March 27. While no radioactive leak was detected, the agency warned that such “thoughtless actions” risk a nuclear disaster.
Iran’s Response: “No More Eye-for-an-Eye”
Foreign Minister Araqchi, currently at the center of mediation efforts through Pakistan, issued a stern warning via social media:
- Breach of Trust: Araqchi noted that these strikes contradict the diplomatic window opened by the U.S. deadline extension.
- Heavy Price: He stated that Israel will pay a “heavy price” for targeting civilian infrastructure and indicated that Iran’s retaliation would no longer be proportionate but “qualitatively different.”
- Evacuation Warning: The IRGC has already issued an immediate evacuation order for employees of any regional companies with American or Israeli shareholders, signaling that retaliatory strikes are imminent.
An unnecessary war has been extended to almost a month. Israel vs Iran has been stretched to being World war. Trump has made sure that every country suffers its consequences. Peace lovers can’t do anything. Stupidity at the best. All countries must unite and stand against US
