QUETTA: In a significant administrative move, the Board of Revenue, Balochistan has cancelled all previously issued notifications related to land settlements across multiple areas of Lasbela and Hub districts. The decision, which affects nearly 100 mouzas, marks one of the largest recent reversals of land allotments in the province.
According to official sources, the revoked settlements involved lands that had earlier been allotted to different individuals, reportedly with the assistance of some local staff members within the department. The Board’s decision aims to address irregularities and restore proper oversight over land distribution procedures, ensuring transparency and adherence to legal protocols.
A formal notification issued by the Board of Revenue stated that all earlier settlement notifications stand withdrawn with immediate effect, effective retroactively from their original dates of issuance. This means any legal standing or transfer based on those allocations is now nullified.
