In a major blow to terrorism, Pakistan security forces killed 15 terrorists in two intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa between November 15-16, 2025, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced on Tuesday.
Ten terrorists, including key TTP-linked ringleader Alam Mehsud of the banned Fitna al Khawarij (Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan), were neutralised in Kulachi, Dera Ismail Khan. Five more were killed in Datta Khel, North Waziristan.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended the forces, reaffirming national resolve under Azm-i-Istehkam to eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism. Sanitisation operations continue in the areas.
President Asif Ali Zardari commended the Security Forces for eliminating 15 elements of the Indian-sponsored Fitna Al Khwarij in KP. He reiterated that, with national consensus, Pakistan would eradicate all foreign-backed terrorism under the “Azm-e-Istehkam”.

The successes follow last week’s elimination of 24 terrorists in KP and Balochistan, amid a reported surge in militant attacks since FAK/TTP ended its ceasefire in 2022.
