Pakistan U19 Begin Tri-Series Campaign Against Afghanistan in Harare

Pakistan Under-19 cricket team, fresh from their triumphant ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup victory, will kick off their tri-series campaign against Afghanistan on December 27, 2025, at Harare Sports Club in Harare. The young side, which dominated India by 191 runs in the Dubai final on December 21, aims to fine-tune preparations for the upcoming ICC Men’s U19 World Cup. The 50-over tri-series also features hosts Zimbabwe, offering valuable match practice in similar conditions.
Captain Farhan Yousaf expressed confidence, highlighting the importance of building momentum.

Building on Asia Cup Success

The squad arrives in high spirits after claiming the continental title. Captain Farhan Yousaf told PCB Digital that the Asia Cup win boosted morale and intensity. “The players are confident and excited as we head into the tri-series,” he said.
He added that the event will help identify ideal combinations ahead of the global tournament, noting similar playing conditions as a major advantage.

Path to World Cup Glory

Each team is guaranteed at least four matches in the round-robin format. The Super Six stage of the U19 World Cup follows group play, with semi-finals on February 3 and 4, culminating in the final at Harare Sports Club on February 6.
