Rawalpindi Police Arrest Three After Viral Video Shows Girl’s Hair Forcibly Cut

Rawalpindi, November 25, 2025 – Rawalpindi police on Tuesday arrested three suspects after a disturbing video showing a young girl’s hair being forcibly cut went viral on social media, sparking nationwide outrage.
The horrific footage, which surfaced on Monday night, depicts a man using scissors to cut the girl’s hair while others watch. A second video, purportedly recorded by the victim herself, revealed the incident occurred one-and-a-half months ago in Rawalpindi’s Christian Colony. She alleged she was beaten, threatened, and that four men were involved.

Taking immediate notice, Rawalpindi City Police Officer (CPO) Syed Khalid Hamdani directed swift action. Police contacted the victim and, on her request, registered an FIR at Naseerabad Police Station under Sections 337V (intentional uprooting of hair) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code.
“Three accused have been taken into custody in light of the victim’s statement,” police said in an official statement, adding that raids continue to apprehend the remaining suspect.CPO Hamdani vowed zero tolerance for violence against women: “All the accused will be arrested and punished to the fullest extent of the law.”Islamabad police clarified that the incident did not occur in their jurisdiction despite initial reports, assisted in tracing the victim, and handed over suspects to Rawalpindi police.
Authorities have urged the public to refrain from sharing the traumatic videos to protect the victim’s dignity.
