Islamabad, August 21, 2025 — Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has paid rich tribute to the victims and survivors of terrorism on the International Day of Remembrance and Tribute to the Victims of Terrorism, observed globally each year on August 21 under a UN resolution passed in 2017.

- National Unity as Strength: The Prime Minister said that Pakistan’s greatest weapon against terrorism has been the unity of its people, armed forces, and law enforcement agencies.
- Tribute to Martyrs: He honored the sacrifices of more than 83,000 Pakistanis, including civilians and security personnel, who lost their lives in terror attacks since 2001.
