A 40-year-old woman in Bhadar village, Punjab, has filed a case against her 18-year-old son-in-law, accusing him of repeated sexual assault and claiming that he was under the influence of a djinn.
According to the FIR filed with the Kakrali police, the complaint was registered under Section 376 (punishment for rape) of the Pakistan Penal Code. The victim stated that the alleged assaults had “destroyed” her home life and requested legal action against the suspect.

The woman claimed that a djinn named Adil possessed her son-in-law, compelling him to commit the assaults. “Whenever he gains control of him, he does not become normal until he has sex with me,” the FIR quoted her as saying.
Cases in Pakistan citing supernatural influence, such as possession by djinns, are rare but not entirely unprecedented. In September, for example, the Lahore High Court intervened in a case where a woman had been missing for six years, with her in-laws claiming she had been taken by a djinn.
The police have registered the case, and investigations are ongoing.
“A djinn named Adil is in love with me,” the complainant claimed according to the FIR, adding that he “gains control” of the suspect.https://t.co/aEao7kW4fU
