The remains of Yasir Khan, a young Karachi resident and Merchant Navy employee who was martyred in an Israeli missile strike in Iran, are finally being repatriated. Following an emotional appeal from his family and coordinated efforts between the Edhi Foundation and government authorities, the body was officially dispatched from Iran today, Monday, March 30, 2026.
- Departure from Iran: According to Edhi officials, the martyr’s body was sent from Iran toward the Taftan border at 8:00 AM this morning.
- Handover at the Border: The body is expected to be handed over to Pakistani authorities at the Taftan border crossing tomorrow, Tuesday, March 31.
- Family Representation: Shujaat Zaman will receive the body on behalf of the grieving family at the border.
- Final Journey to Karachi: The Edhi Foundation has established a special camp at Taftan and has an ambulance on standby to transport Yasir’s remains directly to his home in Younusabad (Maripur), Karachi, for his final rites.
