ISLAMABAD – Security forces killed 31 terrorists in intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Bannu and Lakki Marwat districts over the weekend, the military confirmed on Monday. The operations targeted hideouts of militants linked to the Fitna al Khwarij (FAK), formerly known as the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

Martyrdom in Kech, Balochistan
Tragedy struck in Kech district, Balochistan, where an IED blast claimed the lives of five security personnel, including Captain Waqir Kakar. The device, planted near the Pak–Iran border, was detonated by remote control, destroying the vehicle carrying the soldiers.
Other martyred personnel were identified as Naik Junaid, Naik Asmat, Lance Naik Khan Muhammad, and Sepoy Zahoor Ahmed.
The banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the Kech attack.
