ISLAMABAD, October 30, 2025: Security forces killed 18 terrorists in two separate intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted in Balochistan, the military’s media affairs wing said on Thursday.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the militants were affiliated with Fitna al-Hindustan, a Balochistan-based network allegedly backed by India. The government recently designated such groups under this label to highlight what it describes as “foreign-sponsored terrorism” aimed at destabilising Pakistan.
In the first operation, troops acted on credible intelligence and surrounded a terrorist hideout in the Chiltan mountain range of Quetta district. “During the engagement, 14 Indian-sponsored terrorists were killed after an intense exchange of fire,” the ISPR said.

The statement added that the slain terrorists had been involved in multiple attacks targeting civilians and security forces. Following the operations, sanitisation efforts were launched to track down any remaining militants in the surrounding areas.
“The counter-terrorism campaign by Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue at full pace to eliminate the menace of foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country,” the ISPR said.
