Residents Raise Alarm Over Repeated Harassment

According to the First Information Report lodged by resident Mohammad Khan, the foreign nationals barged into the slum, began recording videos of women, and attempted to take them away by force. When locals intervened, a fight broke out.
The FIR further claims such incidents have become frequent, with the complainant stating the men exploit the poverty of the area and “every day they beat up our women.”

Police Move Swiftly

A police officer told the newspaper that all the accused have been traced and called to the Golra Police Station along with the complainants. Efforts are being made to resolve the matter while ensuring justice, with further legal action to follow as per the findings.
Authorities have assured the slum residents of protection and stern action against anyone found guilty of harassment or trespass. The case has once again highlighted the vulnerability of underprivileged communities and the need for greater security in marginalised areas of the federal capital.
