MULTAN, October 17, 2025 – Lahore Blues clinched the National U-19 Cup 2025 title on Thursday with a commanding seven-wicket victory over Rawalpindi in the final held at Multan Cricket Stadium. A dominant bowling performance by Naqeebullah and Ibtisam Azhar, followed by solid batting from Jahangir Bilal and Khizer Butt, sealed the title for the Blues.
Rawalpindi, opting to bat first, struggled against Lahore’s disciplined attack and were bowled out for just 142 runs in 44.1 overs. Ali Mehdi was the top-scorer with 36, while the spin duo of Naqeebullah (3-16) and Ibtisam Azhar (3-25) proved too strong. Ibtisam ended the tournament with 20 wickets in eight matches, underlining his consistency.

In reply, Lahore Blues chased down the modest target with ease, finishing at 143-3 in 39.4 overs. Jahangir Bilal anchored the innings with a match-winning unbeaten 56 off 97 balls, including seven boundaries. He was well-supported by Khizer Butt, who contributed 46 runs to the successful chase.
Despite missing out on runs in the final, Ali Hassan Baloch, Lahore Blues’ captain, was named both Player of the Tournament and Best Batter for his outstanding tally of 603 runs in eight matches at an average of 75.38, including three centuries and two fifties.

Meanwhile, Faisalabad’s Momin Qamar was declared Best Bowler of the Tournament after taking 22 wickets in eight games, including two five-wicket hauls.
