Peshawar, Pakistan — Robbers broke into a National Bank branch on Kohat Road in Peshawar on the eve of Eid ul Fitr and stole cash worth Rs1.37 million along with gold jewelry valued at Rs210 million. The incident occurred late Friday night when the branch had no overnight security guard on duty due to a “no security shift policy.”
The thieves used cutters, tools, and a gas cylinder to break open lockers and escape with the loot.
