KARACHI, October 10, 2025 – Actress Zara Tareen has confirmed her divorce from actor Faran Tahir, revealing that the marriage effectively ended after only four months, though the legal process took longer to complete.

Zara married the US-based actor in November 2021 after a brief relationship. However, two years later, in 2023, news of their separation surfaced without an official statement from either party.

In a recent appearance on Fariha Altaf’s podcast, Zara opened up for the first time about her short-lived marriage. She disclosed that although Faran Tahir had initially shared information about his personal life, she later discovered key facts had been hidden or misrepresented. These included undisclosed personal matters and what she described as significant secrets.

She said the differences between them, including a 20-year age gap and Tahir’s children from a previous relationship, further complicated the marriage. The lack of transparency ultimately led to their separation just four months after their wedding.

Zara Tareen also reflected on her own family history, sharing that her parents divorced in 2016 after years of discord despite living in the same house. She moved to Pakistan from the United States afterward and began living with her mother.

The actress met Faran Tahir during the COVID-19 pandemic when his brother approached her with a film offer. Their working connection soon developed into a relationship that led to marriage.
