TORKHAM – Following a night of intense military exchanges, video footage has surfaced showing Afghan Taliban forces fleeing their positions at the Torkham border. The retreat comes in the wake of a massive, decisive retaliation by the Pakistan Army under Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq.

According to security sources, the overwhelming fire superiority of Pakistani forces left the Taliban “suffocated” and unable to maintain their forward outposts.

Key Developments at the Border:

  • The Retreat: Sources report that Taliban operatives were seen in a state of panic, hurriedly loading equipment and goods onto trucks to evacuate the Torkham terminal and surrounding high-ground positions.
  • Consolidation of Power: While the enemy retreated, Pakistani forces have further fortified their defensive lines and tightened their grip on strategic vantage points along the Durand Line.
  • Constant Vigilance: Security officials emphasized that the Pakistan Army is on “constant alert,” monitoring all types of border movements to thwart any further “nefarious designs” or attempts at infiltration.

“Ready for Every Sacrifice”

Security sources reiterated today that the armed forces of Pakistan remain resolute in their commitment to the motherland. The spokesperson highlighted that the promptness of the response at Torkham serves as a clear warning that any border violation will result in an immediate and crippling counter-strike.

The situation at Torkham remains tense, and the border crossing—which has been closed since October—is now under the strict control of Pakistani security units as they conduct “sanitization” operations in the area.
