QUETTA — Security forces and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) launched a series of operations in Quetta, Sherani, Kech, and Khuzdar districts, killing at least 21 terrorists and arresting four others, officials confirmed on Thursday.
The military’s media wing said the operations targeted hideouts of Fitna al Khwarij and Fitna al Hindustan — state terms for TTP-linked militants and Indian-backed separatist groups. Officials described the raids as part of Pakistan’s ongoing drive to eliminate terrorism and protect peace in Balochistan.

Quetta Operation
Acting on intelligence, the CTD cordoned off the Aghbarg area outside Quetta. Militants opened fire, triggering a fierce hour-long gunfight.
“As a result, 10 terrorists were killed on the spot,” a CTD spokesman said. Two policemen were injured.
Recovered items included automatic rifles, ammunition, explosives, and military equipment. Authorities said the slain militants remain unidentified and investigations are ongoing.
Sherani Encounter
In Mughal Kot, Sherani district, security forces stormed a suspected camp of Fitna al Khwarij. The raid ended with eight terrorists killed and the seizure of sophisticated weapons and communication tools.
ISPR Confirmation
According to the ISPR, a total of 13 terrorists were killed in Quetta and Kech between Sept 30 and Oct 1.
- 10 belonged to the so-called “Indian-sponsored Khwarij.”
- 3 were linked with Fitna al Hindustan in Kech.
Both hideouts were destroyed, with explosives and advanced weaponry recovered.

Arrests in Khuzdar
In Khuzdar, four militants were caught while disguised in women’s clothing, trying to escape. The ISPR said they were linked to Indian proxy groups and had been involved in multiple attacks in the region. Weapons and ammunition were seized from them.

National Resolve
The ISPR reiterated:
“Security forces remain fully committed to eradicating terrorism from every corner of the country. The sacrifices of our brave personnel strengthen Pakistan’s resolve to bring all terrorists and their facilitators to justice.”

These operations mark one of the biggest counterterrorism pushes in months, reflecting Pakistan’s resolve to secure Balochistan against external interference and militancy. With continued intelligence-based actions, authorities stress that peace, development, and unity remain the ultimate goals.
