CTD Foils Karachi Terror Plot, Arrests 3 Fitna Al Hindustan Facilitators

Karachi — Rangers and Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) personnel foiled a major terror attack plan in Karachi on February 17, 2026, arresting three facilitators linked to the banned Fitna Al Hindustan group during a joint intelligence-based operation in Chakra Goth, Korangi.

The suspects — Yasir Arfat, Khuda Bakhsh, and Zahid Hussain alias Barkzai — were taken into custody after a raid based on specific intelligence inputs.

The Rangers spokesperson said the arrested individuals were involved in radicalising students to join banned organisations and distributing prohibited material. They had concealed explosive materials at various sensitive locations in the city to execute attacks.

All recovered items have been taken into custody for forensic examination. The suspects have been handed over to police for further investigation and legal proceedings under anti-terrorism laws.
