Gas Pipeline Blown Up in Peshawar Outskirts

Peshawar, November 27, 2025 – Unidentified miscreants blew up a major gas pipeline in Hameed Khan Machine area on the outskirts of Peshawar late Wednesday night, triggering a massive fire, local residents and police confirmed.
SHO Mattani Wajid Khan said police teams immediately rushed to the scene. A senior officer disclosed this was the second attack on the same pipeline, previously targeted by terrorists two years ago.
Many suspect that this might be from FAK/TTP as an attempt to create chaos.

SNGPL General Manager Waqas Shinwari told a newspaper that repair teams from Kohat and Nowshera were dispatched urgently. The pipeline, originating from Karak, feeds southern KP gas fields into the main transmission network at Nowshera.
Officials are assessing damage amid fears that a complete rupture could severely disrupt gas supply across the province. Security forces have cordoned off the area as investigations continue.
