Dera Murad Jamali, November 27, 2025 – In a heartbreaking incident, three children lost their lives, and three others sustained serious injuries when a landmine exploded inside a house in Sanni Shoran area of Bolan district on Wednesday.
Senior police officer Jan Muhammad Khosa told a newspaper the explosive device had been planted inside the residence of local resident Abdul Hayee Jatoi. The blast occurred while the children were playing.“One child accidentally stepped on the landmine, triggering a massive explosion,” Khosa told Dawn. The deceased were identified as Nadeem Ahmed, Soma Khan, and a teenage girl, Bakhtawar Bibi. All three died instantly.

The injured, including two boys and a young girl, were rushed to the district hospital.
Security forces cordoned off the area and launched an investigation to ascertain how the landmine reached the civilian home. Authorities continue to probe the tragic incident.
