IRGC Launches 97th Wave, Targets U.S. Commanders in Kuwait and Israeli Vessel

Apr 6, 2026 | Iran, USA

The conflict in the Middle East has reached a new fever pitch. Just hours before the expiration of President Trump’s “Tuesday Deadline,” the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced the launch of the 97th wave of “Operation True Promise 4” (Promised Sadiq 4), specifically targeting high-level U.S. and Israeli assets in the Gulf.

Strike on Kuwait: Target “U.S. Commander Hideout”

On Sunday afternoon, April 5, the IRGC Navy executed a high-precision strike in Kuwait using the sacred code “Ya Qassem Ibn al-Hassan (AS)”:

  • The Target: A “covert location” near the Mohammed al-Ahmad Naval Base in Kuwait. Iran claims this site was being used as a gathering point for senior American terrorist commanders and officers.
  • The Weaponry: The site was hit by a combination of multiple ballistic missiles and a swarm of precision-guided suicide drones.
  • Casualties: Iranian media reports a “large number of ambulances” at the scene, suggesting heavy casualties among U.S. personnel. This follows a Saturday strike on a U.S. command center in the UAE, which reportedly left 25 people killed or injured.

Naval Engagement: Israeli Ship Ablaze in Jebel Ali

The IRGC has officially confirmed a direct hit on an Israeli-linked commercial vessel:

  • The Ship: Identified by the trade name “King Dao Star.”
  • The Strike: The vessel was targeted in the passageway of Jebel Ali Port (UAE) using a Qader naval cruise missile.
  • Status: As of Monday morning, the ship is reported to be actively burning. This follows a series of debris-related incidents in the UAE that have already claimed the lives of 10 people, including four Pakistani nationals.

The “Hormuz Blockade”: Channel 16 Warning

The IRGC Navy has intensified its control over the world’s most critical oil chokepoint:

  • Traffic Restriction: Since Saturday, several vessels have been denied passage through the Strait of Hormuz for lacking “traffic permits” and have been diverted to eastern and western anchorages.
  • Mandatory Contact: All oil tankers and commercial ships in the Persian Gulf and Sea of Oman have been ordered to contact Iranian Navy stations via International Marine Radio Channel 16.
  • The Warning: Crews have been warned that their safety is only guaranteed if they follow IRGC instructions and ignore “false news” from Western sources.

Strike on Israel: Beersheba Industrial Zone

The IRGC Aerospace Force also confirmed a long-range strike on Israeli soil:

  • Target: A military industrial zone in Beersheba (specifically the Neot Hovav industrial area).
  • Outcome: While Israel’s Fire and Rescue Service reported only “minor damage” to a factory and no hazardous material leaks, the IRGC claims the strike successfully hit industrial targets linked to military production.
