Khuzdar IBO: Security Forces Eliminate 5 ‘Indian-Sponsored’ Terrorists

Pakistan’s security forces have killed five “Indian-sponsored terrorists” during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Khuzdar, Balochistan, the military’s media wing announced on Wednesday. The operation, conducted on the night of September 14–15, targeted militants linked to Fitna al Hindustan, a group Islamabad accuses of being an Indian proxy.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), troops engaged the terrorists after receiving credible intelligence about their presence. An intense exchange of fire ensued, resulting in the neutralisation of all five suspects. Security forces also recovered weapons, explosives, and ammunition from the site.

Targeting Fitna al Hindustan

The ISPR has repeatedly accused New Delhi of sponsoring unrest in Balochistan, branding such militant groups under the umbrella of Fitna al Hindustan. Wednesday’s operation, officials said, was part of a larger campaign to dismantle Indian-linked terror networks in Pakistan’s most volatile province.

“Security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of Indian-sponsored terrorism from the country and reaffirm the nation’s unwavering resolve to bring perpetrators of terrorism to justice,” the ISPR statement read.

Following the clash, a sanitisation operation was launched to trace and eliminate any remaining militant hideouts in the area.

The strike in Khuzdar comes against the backdrop of a recent surge in militant activity across Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Just days earlier, five security personnel, including an officer, were martyred in an explosion in Kech district.

Over the weekend, forces killed 31 terrorists in separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Lakki Marwat and Bannu. On September 12, four Indian-sponsored terrorists were neutralized in Mastung, while earlier this month, Khuzdar’s Naal area witnessed an IED blast that injured two civilians.

Last month, Pakistani troops killed 50 terrorists during a four-day border operation that foiled a major militant infiltration attempt from Afghanistan.

Ongoing Counter-Terror Drive

Military analysts view the Khuzdar operation as part of an intensified counter-terror campaign designed to dismantle cross-border networks allegedly linked to India and other hostile elements. The ISPR’s latest statement highlights that Pakistan’s security forces remain on high alert and committed to securing Balochistan from both local and external threats.
