After-Dark Adventures: Lahore Zoo Announces Night Openings

In a move set to transform the city’s evening entertainment, the Lahore Zoo will officially begin welcoming visitors after sunset starting in February 2026. This Night Zoo initiative, confirmed by Punjab Wildlife and Parks Department Director General Mobeen Elahi, promises a thrilling and atmospheric experience for families and wildlife enthusiasts alike.

A New Way to Experience Wildlife

The nighttime opening isn’t just about extended hours; it’s about seeing the zoo in a completely different light. Certain key sections will be opened for night tours. Special night access to the lion enclosures will allow visitors to observe these majestic animals during their naturally more active hours. The Reptile House, Fish Aquarium, and the innovative Hologram Zoo will all be part of the nighttime circuit.

The zoo’s food court, lake, trees, and internal hill will be illuminated with specialized ambiance lighting, creating a magical environment for visitors.

Entertainment Beyond the Animals

To ensure a well-rounded experience, the zoo is incorporating more than just animal sightings into its evening roster. Local performances will provide a rhythmic backdrop to the evening strolls. Puppet shows will be hosted on weekends, adding a touch of traditional Lahori culture to the wildlife experience.
